Difficulty Level

Level required: Intermediate but it is also a beginner-friendly free amigurumi crochet pattern.

Some techniques that you need in this project:

Make Magic Ring (MR)

Basic crochet stitches for amigurumi

Increase and invisible decrease crochet

How to finish the amigurumi part neatly

Abbreviations (Symbols- US term)

You might not use all the abbreviations in the amigurumi crochet pattern but I still want to show you all just to refer. They are all easy to remember and follow.

MR: magic ring
CH: chain
X – sc: Single crochet
T -hdc: half double crochet
F – dc: double crochet
E – tr: Triple crochet
V – inc: Increase (make 2 stitches in 1 stitch)

W – 3 sts in same st: (make 3 stitches in 1 stitch)
A – dec: Decrease (make 1 stitch from 2 stitches)

M – make 1st from 3sts: Decrease (make 1 stitch from 3 stitches)
TV, FV, EV – hdcinc, dcinc, trinc: Increase with half double crochet, double crochet, and triple crochet
TA, FA, EA – hdcdec, dcdec, trdec: Decrease with half double crochet, double crochet, and triple crochet
BLO: Back loop only
FLO: Front loop only
SS – ss: slip stitch
FO: Fasten off
St/Sts: Stitch/Stitches

Red yarn
1) MR 6X (6)
2) 6V (12)
3-4) 12X (12)
5) 6A (6)

CROCHET CHRISTMAS BELL FREE PATTERN – HOLLY LEAVES (Make 2)

Green yarn

8CH, crochet at the second loop from hook SS, [T, F, (3CH, SS at the first chain), 2T, F, (3CH, SS at the first chain)] on upper loops of the chain,   [2T, F, (3CH, SS at the first chain), 2T] on the last st of the chain, [F, (3CH, SS at the first chain), 2T, F, (3CH, SS at the first chain), T, 2SS] on the other side of the chain. FO.

Do not cut the yarn off the second leaf, join with the first leaf, and 2 berries by 1X through all loops of them. (Watch the video for a more clear tutorial).

CHRISTMAS BELL DECORATION – THE MAIN PART

Yellow Yarn

1) MR 6X (6)
2-4) 6X (6)
5) 6V (12)
6) (X, V)*6 (18)
7) (2X, V)*6 (24)

10-16) 36X (36)

Change to red yarn
17-19) 36X (36)
Change back to yellow
20) (2X, V)*12 (48)

Insert the safety eyes at rows 17-18, 6sts apart. Embroider the face and eyelashes to give the bell a characteristic.
FO. Leave a long yarn tail to join with the base. 
Tie the berries to the bell (Pull all the yarn tails inside the bell, keep a stitch between them and tie them up – watch the video for more detail) and stuff the bell.

I know that sewing tasks are always a paint point of any amigurumi maker. Trust me, me too! That’s why in this pattern you do not need to sew anything.

Use the yarn from the bell, crochet through both front loops of the bell and back loops of the base 48X, SS to join, and FO.
