So, today let’s learn how to crochet a little goat for beginners with my amigurumi goat free pattern. Some facts about Goat people
Occupying the 8th position in the Chinese Zodiac, the Goat (or Sheep) symbolizes such character traits as creativity, intelligence, dependability, and calmness. Comfortable being alone to ponder the workings of their inner minds, Goats enjoy being part of a group but prefer the sidelines rather than the center. Their nurturing personality makes Goats excellent caregivers. They’re quiet and reserved because they spend much time absorbed in their thoughts.
Perhaps because Goats are basically serene, they tend to have fewer health problems. Their fragile exterior hides the fact they’re typically very healthy. When they’re happy, they’re healthy. When Goats become unhappy, especially as a result of romance, they quickly become sick.
Amigurumi goat is a perfect and special birthday gift to make for people who are born in 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, or 2015, then your Chinese zodiac sign is a Goat.

What is Zodiac amigurumi crochet along?
CAL: You guys might be familiar with the concept of crochet along (CAL). But for those who never know about this kind of event, technically CAL is an event that people will crochet a project together as parts of the patterns are revealed throughout the event.
2021 Zodiac Amigurumi Crochet Along (ZODIACCAL): This goat amigurumi is the 8th pattern inside the 2021 year-long event in which we will crochet a Vietnamese zodiac animal every month in 2021. You can read more about 2021 events here.
Language: The ZODIACCAL is held in English, but you can simply hit the flag icon on the top right of the screen to translate to your preferred language (drop me a message if you want to add another language to the bar)
Timeframe: This ZODIACCAL will run from July 31- August 4, EST, and the deadline to enter the giveaways is midnight Aug 6, midnight EST. Winners will be announced 2 days after that on August 8
Every day at 10 am EST from July 31- August 4, I will release 1 part of the crocheted zodiac horse for free here in this post, so that we all can follow easily. If you want all parts of the pattern at the same time, join the VIP plan.

- 7mm or 8mm safety eyes
- Yarn needle

I use symbol abbreviations based on US term
You might not use all the abbreviations in the free zodiac horse amigurumi crochet pattern but I still want to show you all just to refer. They are all easy to remember and follow.
MR: magic ring
CH: chain
X: Single crochet
T: half double crochet
F: double crochet
E: Triple crochet
V: Increase (make 2 stitches from 1 stitch) – W: Increase 2 (make 3 stitches from 1 stitch)
A: Decrease (make 1 stitch from 2 stitches) – M: Decrease (make 1 stitch from 3 stitches)
TV, FV, EV: Increase with half double crochet, double crochet, and triple crochet
TA, FA, EA: Decrease with half double crochet, double crochet, and triple crochet
